Damien Williams, M.s., ABD

Damien Williams is an organizational advancement guru, and educator in fields of Biology, Chemistry and Leadership, who has dedicated most of his 20+ year professional career to fund development and education in top post-secondary institutions across the country. His primary areas of expertise are: fund development strategies, including endowments and planned giving, the intersection of philanthropic motivations for giving and research, academic and/or athletic divisions within university and research center settings, fundraising, leadership development, organizational development and advancing research agendas at Tier-1 research institutions.

Damien is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, where he has completed all academic requirements except for the dissertation. He also holds a Master of Science in College Teaching, and a bachelor’s degree in Biology with foci in Organismic Biology and Chemistry.

Damien has served in increasingly senior roles in academic fund-development and most recently served as Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Alumni and Marketing for University of North Carolina – Fayetteville State. He has also served as a volunteer and board member for a number of local and national nonprofit organizations such as the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Damien believes in the common good social-change organizations like Choice-filled Lives Network can bring to children’s lives to eliminate inequities and transform our social institutions. In his role as VP, Development and Strategic Partnerships, Damien comes to CLN with hopes that his expertise in fund development strategy and overall nonprofit organizational advancement work will take Choice-filled Lives Network to the next level, allowing the organization to have a lasting positive impact on children and families in Georgia, the United States, and beyond. In his free time, Damien enjoys singing the national anthem for collegiate and professional teams across the country, playing sports, spending time with family and traveling.
