Empowering Organizations and Leaders, While Unveiling Access and Opportunity
Alayna Smith, M.Ed., is an alumna of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is currently pursuing doctoral level studies in educational policy and program evaluation at Georgia State University, where she previously attained a Master of Education in reading, language & literacy. For over 15 years Alayna has served as a teacher leader, action researcher, and advocate devoted to closing opportunity gaps within the Pre-K – 12 space.
Years of service within the public, charter and nonprofit sectors have enable Ms. Smith to hone a myriad of skills such as program development, recruitment and onboarding, leadership and teacher capacity building, instructional coaching, K-5 curriculum and instruction, and most notably - data-driven school turnaround. Currently serving as an educational advisor and programmatic consultant, Alayna supports leaders in reimagining their vision, and guides teams in achieving their mission. Through these collective and collaborative efforts, Alayna makes her modest contribution to ushering in a world that is both safe and inspiring for each leader and learner to be empowered to lead a choice-filled life.
